  17. <p>     The rap duo Kris Kross is drawing as much attention for
  18. its singular style as for its funky-flavored music. Onstage and
  19. off, 13-year-old rappers Daddy Mack (Chris Smith) and Mack
  20. Daddy (Chris Kelly) wear their baseball caps, T shirts and
  21. overalls backward--"the krossed-out look," they call it. The
  22. dizzy duds helped move half a million copies of their debut
  23. disk, Totally Krossed Out, in a week. "We wanted to do something
  24. different," says Mack Daddy of their iconoclastic attire--suddenly the cutting edge in the mercurial world of preteen
  25. fashion.
